Students and parents raise many objections to standardized testing, few of which are truly valid for the world we live in today. Here are a few points to consider:

  • With limited resources and a desire to be fair, there is no more cost-effective way to evaluate large numbers of candidates
  • There may be several correct answers, but there is often a most correct answer. THIS IS NOT A TRICK, IT’S WHAT IS BEING EVALUATED—SEPARATING AND CATEGORIZING BY RELEVANCE
  • In the bulk of both college courses and jobs, performance matters. While we as society are increasingly accommodating of special needs, the reality is those who learn to perform in spite of difficulties will tend to excel further.
  • Practice for those having difficulty requires several times more hours, and that time must be allotted for
